Ok, so I know that I am lame, but here are some of my camp pictures from only 5 months ago. I am so on the ball. I had tons of fun at camp, even though it was hard. I did make lots of friends and my testimony grew so much. Here are some pictures of my best buds. These crazy ladies are dressed to impress. Typically the glasses have a mustache below them, but that was too simple for them. They decided instead to make nose hair since hey let's face it, most guys have lots of nose hair. This is Tiana. The coolest girl at camp. She is such a clown., which is why I love her. I bunked with her at camp.
This is a picture of our cookies at camp. Carrie, my best friend, is in the
bandanna. I could not have survived camp without her. She made great food and was a shoulder to cry & complain on.
This is a picture of Liane and I. I had to clarify that this is me because I look so bad. It was the last day of camp and we were all exhausted. We roomed together and had a ball. We stayed up later than most of the girls every night. We even had our own version of Mormon Idol with special guest judges.
So here is my successful hunter. After several days of wandering fields and not seeing anything, the boys finally saw a few pheasant. Jim and Adam (a friend from Church) each got one. How sad since they had so many tags. Jim also went deer hunting right after pheasant hunting, but wasn't able to find Bambi. Maybe he'll have better luck next time. We haven't eaten the bird yet. I am kind of hesitant wondering if it will be edible.
Jeremy flew over to hunt with Jim and to do the male bonding.
OK, so when Jim and I first got married, he introduced me to making pepper nuts. It involves rolling out the dough by hand and usually a flour fight. Well that first year I was initiated with a huge cup of flour dumped over my head by Mike (my father-in-law). The fight ended quickly with me not having a chance to retaliate as I would have liked. So anyway this year I wasn't going to be part of the flour fight, but again Mike dumped flour over my head. What was I to do. I waged war. I got a huge handful down his shirt and tons in his face. It ended because he got some in his eye. I must say that I went home that night with a huge smile on my face because I had won this round. By the way it may look like he is winning in this picture, but my clenched fist has flour in it and I got him good right after this picture was taken.
This is my presidency at our Fiesta Appreciation Dinner. We had so much fun. We had a mariachi band, a Latin dance demo and learned the merengue. And the best part was the food. We spent so much time making it a great night for all of the ward primary presidencies. The gym even looked like a Mexican restaurant. It was worth it though.

So at our ward's Trunk or Treat, we also have a chili cookoff. This is the second year of the annual cookoff . And, drum roll please. . . . . . I won the Silver Ladle Award for the Best All Around Chili. I would like to thank everyone who supported me and ate my chili, oh and my mom for the awesome chili recipe. What a dream come true.
